[fa icon="plus-square-o"] Will the HeaterReader™ work on an older heater that is not electronic?

Absolutely. In fact, the great thing about HeaterReader is that it will convert your millivolt heater to a digital version. You will no longer need to set the dial where you hope it will be close to the temperature you want. You can select the exact desired temperature using your HeaterReader™ Mobile App or Desktop Application, modernizing your heater.

[fa icon="plus-square-o"] Will I be able to set timers for both the heater and the pump?

Yes, you can set up to a maximum of 12 schedules and they can be for just the pump, or both the heater and the pump. You are not able to set schedules for just the heater because the pump must run for the heater to work.  

Want just the pump to turn on? Simply drag the Temperature slider to zero and it will take temperature out of the equation.
[fa icon="plus-square-o"] Is HeaterReader™ waterproof?

The enclosure meets IP67 standards. This means that the unit is protected from immersion in water up to 1m for up to 30 minutes. This does not, however, mean that you should immerse the device in water. This protection was implemented to keep your device protected in case of rain, splashing or accidental submersion. The connectors are also waterproof. So, you can install the HeaterReader indoors or out!

[fa icon="plus-square-o"] Do I have to program the functions?

There is no programming in the traditional sense of automation systems - the functionality is built-in. All you need to do is set your particular preferences (i.e. when you wish to receive alert emails, etc.) and the timers you want, to meet your specific schedule. All of which is done easily through our HeaterReader™ App!

[fa icon="plus-square-o"] Can more than one person control the equipment?

Yes. You can give the email address and password for the Reader to anyone that you want to have control.

[fa icon="plus-square-o"] Can you make adjustments on the HeaterReader™ itself?

Yes. You can turn the temperature up and down using the keypad that way your family can adjust it even if they don't have access to the App. Concerned about someone turning it up without your permission? Not a problem! If you have your preferences set to be notified every time your heater turns on, you’ll know when it is turned up. So if someone, let's say your kids, turn it up, you can just turn it back down using the HeaterReader™ App.

[fa icon="plus-square-o"] Does the HeaterReader™ work with all heaters and pumps?

The HeaterReader™ will connect to any pool heater or pump but the Cost Analysis Tool will not determine approximate spending for swimming pool pumps or oil heaters, at this time. That being said, all of our other wonderful features, such as custom schedules and instant notification, will work with every system.

[fa icon="plus-square-o"] Will the HeaterReader™ calculate how much I am spending to run my pump?

No, the Cost Analysis Tool will not determine approximate spending for pumps, at this time, but it will give you approximate spending data for your gas or electric heater on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis.

[fa icon="plus-square-o"] Will the HeaterReader™ work with my swimming pool’s oil heater?

Yes and no. At this time, the Cost Analysis Tool will not determine approximate spending for oil heaters but all of our other wonderful features, such as custom schedules and instant notification, will work with oil heaters.

All returns must have prior return authorization and be received within 15 days from ship date. We allow you 15 days to return a product that you are not satisfied with, whether or not it is defective.

Your right of retraction starts from the moment your order is delivered. You can return the product within this time period, at your own expense, accompanied by your invoice, as well as a return authorization number.  Returns without a return authorization number will not be accepted.

Please allow 4-8 weeks for processing. If you have not received credit for returned goods after the 8-week period, please contact customer service.

Please note freight charges are not eligible for reimbursement.
